Electronics Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) Degree: General Electronics Concentration

Bramson ORT’s Electronics Technology Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) with a concentration in General Electronics is designed to prepare students for a variety of occupations in the field of electronics. Emphasis is put on both the theory and practical application of electronics engineering technology. Courses include the study of basic electronic circuitry and components, computers and microprocessors, data communication, and electronic security systems. Graduates of this program will be able to install, maintain and troubleshoot electronic systems in an office or industrial setting.

Additionally, Bramson ORT College also offers, with the employer’s and instructor’s consent, an elective course, Electronics Co-op, which may be taken off-campus for credit. Working in a corporate electronics environment or laboratory gives our students a head start in the competitive job market, hands-on training, and valuable internship experience. Bramson ORT College has established vital relationships with reputable electronic servicing companies to coordinate internships and co-ops; and eventually find possible employment for future graduates.

It will provide a complete curriculum for a wide range of topics, everything from basic electricity to microprocessors, and applied skills, such as field service training and equipment maintenance. Credits obtained by students while in the Electronic Technology Program are transferable to four-year programs at other colleges and universities worldwide.
